The Master’s Degree Program (CdLM) in Sustainable Agricultural Systems (SAS) aims to train professionals with a high-level cultural, scientific, and applied education in various fields ranging from the quality of agricultural production to precision agriculture, agricultural production within an ecological and sustainable context, including agro-industrial production, up to specialization in the field of bioeconomy.
The courses place particular emphasis on modern, rational, and sustainable cultivation, breeding, and pest and disease management techniques, in relation to their effects on food quality, consumer safety, and environmental protection.
The curriculum consists of a series of common courses aimed at providing knowledge of both plant and animal agricultural production, as well as rural and environmental protection and valuation. The program is then divided into 5 curricula:
- Quality of Agricultural Production, focused on the in-depth study of the quality and safety of both animal and plant primary production;
- Precision Farming, focused on knowledge related to precision agriculture, automation, and robotics in the agricultural sector;
- Agroecology, aimed at deepening knowledge related to agricultural production according to the principles of agroecology;
- Innovative Agro-Industrial Systems, focused on innovations that improve the sustainability of agro-industrial production;
- Bioeconomics, delivered in English, aimed at deepening knowledge related to bioeconomy in a context designed to attract students also from international institutions.
The educational pathway also includes elective courses, foreign language activities, and IT skills.
Student training is finally completed through technical and practical experiences in the form of internships and an experimental thesis under the supervision of an academic advisor.
The curriculum provides the skills required to take the professional qualification examination for the profession of Agronomist.
